T-Shirt/Memory Quilts
T-Shirt Quilts also known as Memory Quilts are a wonderful keepsake, heirloom and a great way to repurpose your clothing! You can create these quilts out of old concert shirts, baby/children's clothing, sport t-shirts, clothing from a passed loved one and so much more!
Students will utilize personal garments and fabric to create a block quilt that can be lap, crib, twin or full sized. Instruction will be provided on how to cut and re-purpose clothing to create blocks for the quilt. We'll discuss the best needles, stabilizers, batting and padding to use and cover some basic quilting stitches like stitch-in-the-ditch and top-stitching. * Please see photo above to gain a better understanding of the design format we will be following.

Upcycled Clothing Totes
I loved this dress because of the print, but the fit was horrible. After holding onto it "just in case" I decided I was just never going to where it and made it into this cute tote. Do you have a garment you like but don't wear due to poor fit, staining, rips, etc.? Perhaps it's time to turn it into a tote. During this course Mikala will help you turn a wearable into this cute tote in one of two sizes. It'll be made with two internal pockets, boxed corners and a magnetic snap closure.

Leather & Vintage Ribbon Bracelets
Spend the afternoon creating unique bracelets with leather remnants and vintage ribbon hand selected in the fabric district of New York. Add embellishments like button contrasting thread, lace and buttons. You'll be able to make your bracelet in various widths and use hardware to to create a snap closure that fits your wrist.
Clothing to Pouches
You don't have to buy new fabric to make these handy and zipper pouches! This is the perfect scrappy project and project to reuse old clothing! Work with various stabilizers, zippers and create boxed corners in this course.
Matching Outfits
This cutie is my Fairy Goddaughter and I had so much fun creating this matching outfit for her. The teddy was sewn using soft minky fabric and both outfits were bought at the store. The teddy outfit was modified and taken in to fit the teddy so they could match! Bring a stuffed animal and an outfit you'd like to dress it and we'll work with you to fit it to the stuffed animal.
