Whether you've recently completed our Sewing Patterns 101 Course  or are coming in with previous sewing experience this super fun sewing patterns course is sure to delight and expand your sewing skills. This class is perfect for those who want to explore working with array of different fabrics like leather, suede, vinyl and pleather and leave with a super cute bag! You'll learn to install zippers, top-stitch and select the correct needles for your projects. We'll build off skills learned in our pattern courses by navigating store bought patterns, layout, terminology and so much more! 

Students will have a choice of four different animal bags to create; dog, owl, cat or fox. 

Leave With:

  • A pattern
  • Project to take home
  • List of sewing terminology
  • List of over 40 local fabric stores
  • Information and visuals regarding different needles and when to use them
  • General information on basic sewing supplies and sewing machines

Class Cost: $125 + $13 supply fee brought to the first class is applied toward sewing tools, pattern, thread and use of tracing paper and wheels if needed. It does not cover the cost of fabric or notions. You will be e-mailed a materials list one week before the start of class. Feel free to bring your own sewing machine or borrow one from the studio for a onetime $10 fee.

Depending on the pattern you choose there may be some out of class work needed.

Prerequisite: Sewing Patterns 101  or equivalent experience
